Our client is an international oil and gas company that conducts business through various operating subsidiaries. The Company produces oil and natural gas in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Malaysia and conducts exploration activities worldwide. They operate retail gasoline stations under their brand across 20 states in the U.S. These are high-volume, low-cost retail gasoline stations.  They also operate a network of 12 Company-owned terminals. These terminals, along with numerous third-party terminals, provide fuel supply to retail and branded wholesale stations throughout 23 states.

This position is responsible for generating and supporting prospect identification and maturation through to drill ready status in the effort to support production growth.

• Minimum of a MSc in geology required
• The person should have ten years of industry related experience.

• Experience at a major oil company.
• Prospect generation and assessment using probabilistic risk and reserve analysis.
• Proficient in Landmark Workstations.
• Previous experience working the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico will be an advantage.

• Identifying and generating prospects through seismic interpretation for lease sale and farm-in opportunities.
• Integrating seismic interpretation, salt tectonics and well logs information and generating isopach and reservoir fairway maps, and cross sections.
• Working salt basins and an understanding of salt tectonics.
• Presenting technical presentations to peers and management.
• Must Have legal authorization to work full time in the US
