Client Overview

Our Client has recently sold off a portion of their business and thus their yearly total revenue has dropped to around $50 – $70 Million a year with approximately a total head count of between 90-100 full time employees.  This privately owned OEM has been in business for over 100 years and continues to market and sell their products internationally.

Their product is for a niche market that they have worked in for over a century and they continue to grow that market.  Theirs is a special product produced with a very high level of quality and due to their stringent manufacturing guidelines their product increases the life of their customers business.


The Plant Manager directs and coordinates the activities of the plant with overall responsibility for planning, production, productivity, quality, inventory control, and labor relations within the facility.  Additionally, the Plant Manager provides coaching and direction to the Operations Supervisors to insure targets are met.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all associates

  • Initiates and manages all environmental permits to comply with state and federal government regulations and requirements

  • Responsible for training and development of direct reports

  • Manages departmental budget, costs and expenditures

  • Responsible for performing in-house ISO audit functions

  • Reviews and recommends production schedules and work orders

  • Ensures on-time delivery of customer orders; analyzes inventory levels to assure on-time shipments

  • Works with engineering and maintenance to develop and execute long-range programs, to include capacity planning, equipment and strategic capital investments

  • Coordinates planning and scheduling of maintenance to machines, facilities and equipment to minimize downtime

  • Directs Warehouse functions to ensure the shipment of all customer orders from inventory are consistent with the delivery goals and policies of the company

  • Develops and executes improvement projects on time and within budget to achieve targeted savings

  • All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • Degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field

  • 5-10 Years previous experience in Plant and Operations Management

  • Proven Management and Supervisory Experience

  • ISO Knowledge / Experience

  • Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills


  • Familiarity with MRPII

  • Knowledge of Composite Materials
