Production Planner - CRT1067
Our Client was founded in 1992 and is a full line manufacturer of pressure pipe fittings from ½” to 65” pipe sizes with pressures up to 320 psi and lower pressure pipes up to 120” in diameter. They also offer electrofusion fittings which are specifically designed for reliable, high performance pipe joining and long system life. This automated system has been proven to be most economical due to the low potential for operator error. Their customers are distributors to industry, municipalities and commercial enterprises worldwide.
Production Planner supports business needs by prioritizing and managing production plans and schedules, and developing finite schedule plans for key work centers. The Production Planner demonstrates detailed knowledge of capacity requirements planning, shop floor control and application of the following: manufacturing, scheduling, and materials requirements planning (MRP). This role is accountable for the planning, coordination, and execution of production schedules in support of pre-determined customer needs, coordinating and expediting the flow of work and movement of materials within or between work centers while respecting shop floor sequences and customer shipping schedules.
This position will report to the Director of Operations.
Work with our MRP system to process and monitor production work orders, purchasing, inventory, shortages and shipping.
Open up work orders for production personnel per job.
Print drawings for shop when needed.
Check work orders against drawings to ensure proper documentation is attached.
Arrange work orders for proper routing to different departments on the production floor and distribute as needed.
Develops a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet predicted completion date
Follow through on the current status of production and if there are any shortages or potential shortages in materials or consumable products.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in production planning or related discipline. Significant experience in and demonstrated understanding of production planning may be considered in lieu of degree.
At least one year of production planning or manufacturing experience.
Excellent in problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills: Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team, but also able to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to partner with others in achieving optimal outcomes.
Ability to work within tight time frames which, in turn, necessitates both a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize based on internal customer requirements.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and MS Office.
A legal authorization to work in the United States is a must for this US based position.
Base Salary, DOE, is $45-55 K
There is a bonus potential depending on Our Client reaching their profit margin
