Position Summary

The Revenue Supervisor will supervise a department of 4-6 individuals ensuring that the ongoing revenue and severance tax accounting activities from oil and gas sales, including royalty distributions, are performed in a timely and accurate manner complying with all mandatory regulatory requirements and timeframes. This is an Exempt position requiring independent performance with minimal supervision and training.

This position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly revenue close process so that month-end closing is processed in timely fashion.

  • Book revenue sales information into Enertia accounting system

  • Assist with DOI maintenance

  • Perform monthly oil and gas revenue accruals

  • Prepare revenue sales allocation schedules as needed to process revenue

  • Special projects as required.

Requirements

  •  Self-motivated individual who operates with sense of urgency to meet deadlines and follow through with accuracy on all assignments

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Enertia experience preferred but not mandatory

  • Able to handle multiple tasks and stay organized

  • Flexible in ever-changing work environment

  • Requires minimal supervision

  • Technical understanding of complex accounting issues

  • Experience with gas balancing

  • Ability to work within deadlines

Education/Training/Experience

  • 10+ years oil and gas revenue accounting experience—Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred

  • Merger and Acquisition experience is a plus

  • Enertia accounting system experience is a plus

Compensation

  • Base Salary:  $85-95K
